Imagine stepping into a time machine that transports you back to the mid to late 90s, a period characterized by the emergence of home computing and the dawn of the internet age.
In this nostalgic era, "NNT" a fictional tech company, unveils its latest innovation, "Portal" A virtual reality headset more immersive and powerful than anything else on the the market.

Drawing inspiration from the iconic aesthetics of early home computers, such as Apple's Macintosh, Portal embraces a distinct design language that evokes memories of bulky monitors and clunky peripherals. The exterior is crafted from light beige textured plastic, reminiscent of the materials commonly used in 90s technology. This choice not only pays homage to the design trends of the time but also adds a tactile quality that enhances the overall user experience.
The headset itself boasts a bulky form factor, intentionally designed to highlight the technical constraints that were prevalent during the era, unlike the sleek and compact VR headsets of today.
The intention of this design is to embraces its larger size, reminiscent of the early days of computing when functionality often took precedence over aesthetics. This deliberate design choice serves as a nod to the limitations of 90s technology while also serving as a visual cue that transports users back to a bygone era.

As such I chose to present the concept as a retro advert campaign paying homage to apple's iconic minimalist approach to advertising, mirroring their products simplicity.
